Evitas

Professor Qasim Aziz, who has worked closely with PORT and supported research into chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction (CIPO) and related conditions, has helped develop Evitas, a new electronic health record platform designed to help patients manage their healthcare more easily. Evitas was inspired by Professor Aziz's experience of caring for patients with complex conditions, including chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction and severe gastrointestinal dysmotility, who often see multiple specialists across different hospitals and healthcare settings. Their medical information is frequently scattered, leaving patients struggling to access their records, repeatedly explain their history and coordinate communication between their doctors.

What is Evitas?

Evitas is a secure, patient-centred electronic health record that allows you to keep important medical information together in one place, including clinic letters, test results, diagnoses, medications and treatment plans.

How can Evitas help me?

People with CIPO and severe gastrointestinal dysmotility often see several specialists across different hospitals and healthcare services. Evitas allows you to access your medical information whenever needed and share it with your doctors and other healthcare professionals. This can help them understand your medical history and support better coordination of your care.

How do I join?

Simply visit www.evitas.co.uk and follow the instructions to register. You can then start building your personal health record by uploading your medical information.

Is Evitas free?

Yes. Evitas is completely free for patients and will remain so. There is also no cost to PORT.
