We’ve had some fantastic support recently! Here’s a little fundraising update and a look ahead to the rest of 2017 in terms of fundraising.
Our end of year financial return shows that for the year ending 31st March 2016 PORT raised £45,183 , here’s to #TEAMPORT SupPORTingthecause.
Sam Adams and friends organised a charity ball, the Gatsby Ball, raising approximately £850 for P.O.R.T.
Croftfoot Primary School raised a fantastic £400 by doing a non-uniform day. Robbie (Bob) Beer, who suffers from CIPO, attends the school. Bob’s mum Lesley does a lot for P.O.R.T. under their fundraising initiative, #TeamBob, they’ve raised more than £22,000 for P.O.R.T. between all their different events and challenges. Our lovely Trustee Ashlee Johnson and friends have organised the second Isla’s Smiles Charity Ball which is on 18th March , proceeds to be split between Isla’s Smiles and P.O.R.T.
Rakesh Patel is taking part in The London Marathon on April 23rd raising money for our charity. You can donate to his fundraising page here.
Our wonderful Trustee Kilian Fitzsimmons-Wilson has organised a Charity Golf Day on Friday 26th May at Accrington and District Golf Club. All proceeds go to P.O.R.T. Please contact Kilian on kilianwilson@hotmail.com.
Ian Frost and his team of 12 cyclist are cycling from London to Amsterdam, starting May 24th , aiming to cover 100 miles a day (400 miles in total) All proceeds to P.O.R.T. Click here to donate to his fundraising page.
July 1st is the annual Southend Moonlight Colourthon, P.O.R.T. Chairperson Sue is taking part again and hopes to have a minimum of 20 people with her. It is a 13+ mile walk around Southend, Westcliff and Chalkwell, starting in Chalkwell Park at 6pm. However, if you feel the Moonlight Colourthon is too far for you, there’s the shorter Twilight Colourthon, covering 10k (6.1 miles), also starting at 6pm in Chalkwell Park. Trustee Becky is organising our fantastic P.O.R.T. Charity Ball to be held on 18th November at Stockbrook Manor £75 p.p all inclusive, 3 course meal, disco, drinks, raffle and auction.
